Your resume stays yours.

A resume is personal. This page says plainly what matchly.fit keeps, what it sends elsewhere, and how you remove all of it.

What we store

Your account (name, email, a password hash), the resume file you upload, the profile read from it, the cover letters and resume edits you prepare, the jobs you save or apply to with your notes, and a count of writing-help requests with their size, not their content.

If you take a paid plan: which plan, when it renews or ends, and Polar's reference numbers for your customer record and subscription. Never your card: that goes to Polar and does not pass through this site.

When reading a resume we leave out details an employer should not screen on, even if the file contains them: photo, date of birth, gender, nationality, marital status, religion, health, and union or political membership.

Who else sees it

Reading your resume, suggesting edits and drafting letters send your profile, and the job posting you chose, to Anthropic, whose Claude model does the writing. Anthropic does not train its models on this data. Matching jobs to your profile happens entirely on our own servers and sends nothing anywhere.

Paid plans are sold by Polar, our merchant of record. When you check out, Polar receives your name, email, billing address and card, issues the invoice and charges any tax due. Polar tells us only which plan you are on. Nothing about your resume or your job search goes to Polar.

The site runs on Vercel; its database and the resume file you uploaded are kept on Neon (Postgres and its object storage), and both go when you delete. Nobody else receives your data: no advertisers, no recruiters, no data brokers. Employers see only what you yourself send them.

Signing in with Google

If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name, email address and profile picture, and nothing else; we ask for no other access to your Google account. An account made with a password and a Google sign-in on the same email are one account. Google sees that you signed in to matchly.fit, under its own privacy policy.

Job listings

Listings come from the public career pages of companies and from job feeds that permit it, and each one links back to where it came from. matchly.fit does not log in to job boards on your behalf or ask for your passwords to them.

Your own model

In Settings you can set up a model of your own: an Anthropic key, an OpenAI key, or the address of a server you run. Keys are encrypted before they are stored, used only for your own requests, and never shown again, not even to you. While a setup of yours is in use, your resume and the postings you choose go to that provider under its terms, not to the site's model. You can switch back or remove a setup at any time.

Deleting it

In Settings you can delete your resume and profile, or your whole account. It happens at once and removes every record listed above. There is no recycle bin and no copy kept for later. Deleting the account also ends a paid plan at once. Polar keeps the invoices it issued, as tax law requires of a seller, and our own record of each payment stays in the books with your account removed from it: an amount, a date and Polar's order number, naming nobody.
